Silale

Silale – is teh city in western Lithuania, Taurage district, 30 km to north of Taurage, in the plateau between the coastal and highland Zemaiciai lowlands. Silale is municipal center. Population is (2010) 5 978th Area is 3.5 square kilometers. Lokysta is flowing through the west side of the town (the tributary of Jura). Through the city from east to west flows tributary of Lokysta - Asutis, which splays and creats a pond in the city. In Silales northeast there is a pine trees. There stands in two churches: Silale St. Francis of Assisi Church (since 1909) and Silale evangelic liuterons church.
