Gintaro muziejus-galerija

Gintaro muziejus-galerija įkurta XVII a. barokinio stiliaus pastate, kuriame susikryžiavo šešių amžių erdvės ir kontūrai. Barokinis pastatas išsaugojo ir renesanso, ir klasicizmo architektūros liekanų, sutinkama ir gotikinių elementų.
Čia laukiami visi, norintys sužinoti apie 50 mln. metų senumo paslaptis saugantį Baltijos gintarą: jo atsiradimo istoriją, natūralias formas bei plačią gintaro spalvų gamą. Didžiausias gintaras šiame muziejuje sveria beveik 3 kilogramus. Jus nustebins gintaro spalvų įvairovė, sužinosite, kad gintaras gali būti baltas ir juodas, žalias ir raudonas, įvairiaspalvis ir net melsvas. Dėmesį patrauks unikali inkliuzų kolekcija, kurioje tikra retenybė – unikalus sraigės kiautelis gintare, kraujo prisisiurbęs uodas, didžiojo žiogo koja. Pamatysite rekonstruotus Juodkrantės lobio amuletus. Tai didžiausias pasaulyje archeologinis gintaro rinkinys, surinktas 1860-1881 m. kasant gintarą Kuršių mariose ties Juodkrante. Šią kolekciją sudarė gintaro žaliava ir 434 įvairių formų gintaro dirbiniai. Visus šiuos dirbinius Richardas Klebsas aprašė knygoje „Akmens amžiaus gintaro papuošalai" (1882).
Apsilankę Gintaro muziejuje-galerijoje jūs turėsite galimybę paliesti natūralų gintaro gabalą, paragauti ypatingo gėrimo „Gintaro trauktinė“, sužinosite, kaip atskirti tikrą gintarą nuo netikro, išvysite gintaro apdorojimo procesą.
Muziejaus rūsyje saugomas unikalus archeologinis radinys. Tai XV a. pab.-XVI a. pr. vienos iš geriausiai visoje Rytų Europoje išsilaikiusių keramikos degimo krosnių. Čia eksponuojami restauruoti šiose krosnyse išdegti indai ir kokliai. Tarp krosnių išsaugotas ir autentiško akmeninio grindinio fragmentas, kuriuo prieš penkis šimtus metų vaikščiojo miestelėnai. O nusileidimą iš viršutinės galerijos salės į rūsį archeologas Gediminas Gendrėnas pavertė fantastine kelione į amžių glūdumas. Pasirodo, nusileidus iš gatvės keliais laipteliais žemiau (70 cm) į galeriją, iš XXI a. patenkama į XVII a. aplinką. Dar 3 metrais žemiau, rūsyje, atsiduriama XIV-XV a. kultūriniame sluoksnyje, toje žemėje, kuria vaikščiojo pirmieji šios miesto dalies gyventojai.
Galerijos salėse galėsite įsigyti įvairių gintaro papuošalų – nuo mažiausio suvenyro iki autorinių šiuolaikinio ir klasikinio dizaino garsiausių Lietuvos menininkų darbų. Kiekvienai prekei įteikiamas sertifikatas, liudijantis, kad įsigijote aukštos kokybės tikro Baltijos gintaro gaminį.
